Position Summary - Associate

An Associate is an integral member of the search execution and client engagement team, providing research, consultative and advocacy skills to deliver extraordinary service and talent solutions to our clients globally.

Successful candidates are self-motivated, have strong business research abilities, good writing skills and a curiosity to learn. An Associate helps develop the search strategy, gather relevant information regarding the appropriate industries and target companies, identify potential candidates from different sources, draft role description documents, participate in candidate assessments and prepare client progress reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • At the commencement of each search the Associate participates in client kick-off meetings along with the engagement Partner, and assists by developing the position specification, initial search strategy including a target list of companies and industries to be targeted for the search.
  • Through targeted research using online and offline resources, internal firm networks, external publications and proactive market outreach, the Associate will help create a slate of qualified candidates that the engagement principal can assess and present to the client.
  • Proactively keep track of each search being worked on and what needs to be done to drive the search to closure. Regularly review search progress and market coverage with the engagement Partner including reaction to the opportunity, market and compensation trends, etc.
  • Collaborate internally and participate with Partners to develop pitch presentations and business development documents. Monitor and track relevant market developments in an industry segment, including company updates and people moves.
  • Maintain process compliance including keeping the firm’s state-of-the-art proprietary workflow/ERP platform updated with candidate and search data.
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required – any discipline, post graduate degree is ideal
  • Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
  • Strong project management and time management skills – will drive own efforts to deliver on multiple search projects, sometimes with competing priorities, working with multiple Partners internally and managing expectations
  • Is results focused and flexible; demonstrates a strong work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – communicates effectively both in writing and verbally and is able to build relationships with internal stakeholders and externally with clients and candidates.
